A Note About the Legal Ceremony
As an Independent Celebrant, I create and conduct your bespoke wedding ceremony, but I am not a Registrar. This means that, under the current law in England and Wales, a celebrant-led wedding ceremony is not legally binding.
To make your marriage legally recognised, you will also need to complete the legal formalities at a Register Office or other approved venue in the presence of a Registrar. Many couples choose to complete the legal registration either before or shortly after their celebrant-led ceremony. In some circumstances, this may also be arranged on the same day by agreement with your local registration service.

Many couples love the freedom that a celebrant-led ceremony offers, allowing them to choose a location and create a ceremony that truly reflects their personalities, values and love story, without the restrictions of a standard civil ceremony.
The Law Commission has recommended reforms that could allow independent celebrants to conduct legally recognised weddings in the future. While these recommendations have been welcomed across the celebrant profession, they have not yet become law, and we continue to hope for positive changes in the future.
What does it involve
My bespoke wedding ceremony package is £500.
Mileage within 20 miles of my home is included. Additional travel is charged at 50p per mile. Optional ceremony enhancements, such as unity candles or handfasting cords, are available at an additional cost.

A professionally written ceremony
A beautifully crafted ceremony script, shared with you in advance for approval, giving you complete confidence before your wedding day.
A rehearsal
A rehearsal before your ceremony so everyone knows what to expect and your day runs smoothly.
A lasting keepsake
Following your ceremony, you'll receive a beautifully presented copy of your personalised ceremony, including any unity candle or handfasting wording, as a treasured keepsake of your special day.
