About Me

Every life has a story worth celebrating, and every farewell deserves to be remembered with love, dignity and compassion. As an independent celebrant, I create heartfelt, bespoke ceremonies that reflect the people at their centre. Whether you're celebrating a wedding, welcoming a new child, renewing your vows, or saying goodbye to a loved one, I will work closely with you to create a ceremony that is personal, meaningful and uniquely yours.

My journey to becoming a celebrant was inspired by personal loss, which gave me a deep appreciation of just how important a thoughtfully written and beautifully delivered ceremony can be. It reinforced my belief that every person's story deserves to be told with care, warmth and authenticity.

I live in a small village on the border of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire and have spent more than 30 years working in the social care sector. During my career I have held roles in service delivery, commissioning and quality assurance, always with one priority at the heart of my work putting people first. Those values of compassion, empathy and respect continue to shape every ceremony I write and deliver today.

I'm fortunate to have two wonderful grown-up sons and a supportive husband who has encouraged me throughout every step of this journey. Family has always been at the centre of my life, and I understand how important it is to create ceremonies that bring people together and celebrate the moments that matter most.

No two ceremonies are ever the same. I take time to get to know you, listen to your wishes and understand your story, ensuring every word is written especially for you. There are no templates or off-the-shelf scripts just a ceremony that captures your personality, your memories and your values.

Whether your ceremony is joyful, reflective, traditional or completely unconventional, my aim is always the same: to make you feel relaxed, supported and confident, while creating a lasting memory for you, your family and your friends.

I provide celebrant services throughout Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire, and I'm always happy to discuss ceremonies further afield.
